Dezeen Showroom: British bathroom brand Lusso has released a bathtub made from one of the world's rarest varieties of marble.

Available in two variations, the Tiffany bathtub is carved from a solid block of its namesake marble – a Brazilian stone that is considered extremely precious due to its natural scarcity and the difficulty of successful quarrying.

Lusso CEO Wayne Spriggs imagines the product sitting within an opulent home or hotel, and said he worked closely with Lusso's suppliers to understand and develop the Tiffany marble into an elegant design.

"The mission behind the Tiffany range was to create products of utmost craftsmanship, incorporating smooth and infinite soft curves in the range that would best highlight the beautiful composition and colourways of the marble," said Spriggs.

Tiffany marble has a vivid emerald green colour cross-hatched with an energetic veining in earthy and mulberry tones, with each block having its own unique patterning.

The tub can be combined with a range of freestanding taps in a spectrum of finishes and colourways.
