CARING HANDS— Adventist Health Simi Valley and the Daisy Foundation unveiled a statue called "A Healer's Touch" on May 9 to recognize nurses for the compassionate, skillful care they provide patients and families. The stone statue, handcarved by artists from Zimbabwe's Shona tribe, is on permanent display at the hospital. Attending the unveiling are, from left, Adventist Health Simi Valley President Jennifer Swenson and Daisy Award winners Raizel Tan, R.N., Joanne Shaw-Davila, R.N., Katelyn Clegg, R.N., Nicole Westerfield, R.N., and Ted Kiester, R.N.
